MOCOMBO  'FLOPHOUSE DADDY'

Blues inspired music

Mocombo's fourth album the blues/jazz influenced 'Flop House Daddy' surfaced in 2005.

Musicians including:

 Jay Scali, Guitar and Vocals

Bobby 'Crow' Clarke, Drums and Percussion

 Kyle McKey, Guitar and Vocals

 Gerry Paquin, Blues Harmonica

 Danny Mott, Bass and Vocals

Mocombo released a blues/jazz album that features plenty of passionate instrumentals arrangements.

A 'Flop House Daddy' highlight is Jay Scali's own rendition of 'Too Many Dirty Dishes' popularized by the immortal Albert Collins.

The album presents a cross-section of different styles in addition to several original compositions. The album leads off with the swing tune 'Flop House Daddy' and continues with the funk/fusion tune ‘Liplock’. Willie Dixon and Muddy Waters covers of Hootchie Kootchie Man and I’m Ready feature Kyle McKey on vocals. Horn section parts are supplied by Sault jazz veterans trumpeter Steve Ryan and saxophonist Val Suriano.
